Be Polite Hospitality Restaurants
Private Event Bookings
Summer and Fall 2021
Thank you for your interest in hosting an event with us. We are accepting reservations for large groups and private events for dates after May 1.
The following are our policies, capacities, and pricing for both of our restaurants: Polite Society and The Bellwether.
Menus
Food and drink offerings will be based on our current menus at the time of your event. Both Polite Society and The Bellwether have many seasonal items. We will be able to pre-plan your specific offerings 45 days or later before your event date. This is primarily because we will not know the exact make-up of our menu several months in advance. Budgets can be made using our current menu prices.
For example, if your guests had an appetizer, a choice of two salads and a choice of three entrees- the per person charge would be the regular menu price for the appetizers, the average price of the two salads, and the average price of the three entrees. (the burger does not count towards the pricing average)
Current menus are available to peruse at each of the restaurant’s websites to get a general idea of the type items we offer as well as pricing.
We will always work with you if you have guests with specific dietary restrictions.

The second floor of The Bellwether is called the Reference Room. The Reference Room has an indoor dining area and a rooftop outdoor patio. It also features private restroom facilities and is accessed by elevator.
The rooftop patio is exposed to the elements. It is subject to high and low temperatures, sun, wind and rain. If your group’s preference is to have your event outdoors, please take that into consideration. The inside dining area can be a back-up space in case of inclement weather.
The Reference Room dining area has an indoor capacity of 48 seated or up to 75 for a cocktail party. There is also an adjacent private rooftop patio which can also seat 48 or up to 75 for cocktails. These capacities are not “socially distanced”. Depending on developments that we cannot foresee there may be COVID related health guidelines at the time of your event requiring a lessened capacity.
